We’re all clear that Ofsted’s function is to examine and report on the standard of training and coaching. The suggestions from an inspection is designed to assist additional training and expertise suppliers enhance.
For suppliers judged requires enchancment, inspectors conduct ‘assist and problem’ visits to assist suppliers enhance. We wish to make some small however necessary modifications to the best way we conduct these visits and are consulting on our proposed new preparations.
Because it stands
In September 2012, Ofsted launched the judgement grade of requires enchancment. Since 2013, we’ve carried out ‘assist and problem’ visits to suppliers on this group.
At present, following these visits, we ship the supplier a letter that units out what enhancements have been made, how they’ve been carried out and what else the supplier may have to evaluation. The supplier is then re-inspected inside 12 to 24 months. The letter is not revealed.
Proposed modifications
We suggest {that a} supplier graded as requires enchancment will obtain a single monitoring go to following that inspection, which can usually happen round 7 to 13 months afterwards.
Ofsted will publish a report with the outcomes of the monitoring go to as progress judgements. The report will embody the supplier’s achievements for the reason that final inspection. Why are we proposing the modifications?
